The thing I’m proudest of here is the evenness and cleanness of the grid! I did a combo of rulers and eyeballing the sections, and it wasn’t a bad result. Except…ah, yes, except I didn’t leave any space around the edge, so I can’t put a matte on top of this because it looks chopped and cramped. I’ll need to redo it to get the right effect.
I’ve tried grids with acrylics before, but I’ve always had horrible bleeding under the tape. The secret sauce? Gesso first and let it dry before applying paint.
