Inner Whoshewhatsit<\/b><\/p>\n

Yesterday Pirate Alice<\/a> unveiled the secret her pyschic had urged her to sit on: she’s cursed with a demon\/spirit that’s holding her back and preventing her from having a groovy relationship with guys. She’s named this demon Dave, and has been on a quest to reform him since the program proscribed by the pyschic was too damned expensive and hokey.<\/p>\n

This got me to thinking…always a dangerous thing, I admit. What if my inner child, was not in fact an inner child, but an inner demon seeking to hamper me in some crucial way? <\/p>\n

When I asked La Cabeza<\/a> (human radio receiver\/broadcaster, aka conduit into the spiritual unknown), she told me that I didn’t have just one spirit haunting me, but a trio named Stephanie, Geoffrey and Bjorn. So now I must live with the possibility that not only am I spiritually hampered by demon\/spirits, but I may be spiritually hampered by demon\/spirit\/tennis professionals. There may not be a big distinction between the two types, but I feel it’s worth noting anyway.<\/p>\n

Should I be reforming them? I haven’t decided. The only demon manifestation I’ve had is a desire to recite Louis Carroll’s Jabberwocky<\/a> at any opportunity, which, I admit, is a fairly innocuous side effect. So if you see me walking down the street muttering to myself, or worse, reciting poetry, I can’t be held responsible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
