Me: “We’re not in a crisis. We can put that server on a seperate switch now and shut down everything else if the scenario ever calls for it.”<\/p>\n
Boss: “There you go again, being logical. You can’t apply logic to a crisis!”<\/p>\n
Me: “Yes you can. Besides, as I pointed out, we’re not in a crisis. There’s no reason we shouldn’t apply logic to the crisis test so decisions like those don’t have to be made under duress.”<\/p>\n
Boss’s Boss: “I don’t want to be in the foxhole with you when the grenade is thrown. You’d sit there and argue with it.”<\/p>\n
Me: “Yeah, I make good cannon fodder.”<\/p>\n
Boss: “Good. Then we’ll put you on the crisis test planning committee.”<\/p>\n
Boss’s Boss: “And we expect you to throw yourself on the grenades.”<\/p>\n
