For Chicago, I&#8217;ve found <a href=\"http:\/\/chicago.oodle.com\/\">Oodle<\/a> (a classified aggregator, still in beta) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.topix.net\/city\/chicago-il\">Topix<\/a> (headlines from around Chicago).  They&#8217;re a useful chorus to the single notes in my feed subscriptions and give me a good idea of what&#8217;s happening around town. And with tags, I can get pictures of Chicago (via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/tags\/chicago\/\">Flickr<\/a>) and local sites (via <a href=\"http:\/\/del.icio.us\/tag\/chicago\">del.icio.us<\/a>).  <\/p>\n<p>There are gaps, so I&#8217;m looking for feeds on:<\/p>\n<p><b>Politics<\/b>  There are political aggregators for Congress (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.govtrack.us\/\">GovTrack<\/a>), but what about one for the city council? and da mayor?<br \/>\n<b>Social events<\/b>  Glom city search, metromix, the mayor&#8217;s calendar and others together?<br \/>\n<b>Art<\/b>   What shows are opening this week? What artists are on display?<br \/>\n<b>Movies<\/b> C&#8217;mon! Someone should pull all of the schedules into a single feed.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m building a virtual newspaper it seems.  I know I could visit the Sun Times or the  Trib, but I feel better about building my own mix and pulling from sources that I&#8217;ve evaluated.
