I haven’t posted much lately which is unusual for me. The only thing going on my life right now is I’m sick. “Stay at home and don’t infect your co-workers” sick. “Stay at home because your coughs are disturbing to people around you” sick. “Dear God, stay away from my child” sick. Sick. Doctor told me last week that it was bronchitis, but I’m not so sure. I had bronchitis a fair bit when I was a kid and I don’t remember it being this bad.

For one, I think I’m waking up with asthma attacks. I simultaneously need to hack and throw up but I can’t do either because there isn’t enough air. Is that an asthma attack? I’ve never had one before so I can’t say. Elucidation from my audience would be appreciated. Also, when the low-riders drive by with those thrumming rhythms, my chest starts rattling along with the windows. It’s a wierd sensation. And then there’s the complete inability for Tylenol with Codiene to do anything for me. I had a slight buzz the first night, but it didn’t help the cough. Cough drops actually help for a while, but I don’t want to risk falling asleep with an undisolved one in my mouth. Grrrrrr.

The other down side to being out this long, is I miss conversations with other people even though I have trouble holding one without hacking. I startled the brown UPS man the other day by asking him how he was…those folks just want a signature and a quick escape. Not good. I’m down to second and third tier food…the things you buy, but aren’t really enthusiastic about except every once and a while. I’ll eat Boca burgers, but I can’t get excited about it. Canned pumpkin is straight out. I’m pretty sured anything you can have delivered is not ideal for recovery. Pizza? You know the old saying, A pizza a day keeps the doctor away. Not. I need to make a Peapod order, but I’ve been too bleary eyed. I’m bleary eyed right now…guess that’s no excuse.

Okay, enough bitching. Thanks for reading and coming back to see if I’m still alive.
