When I made the decision to go digital, I didn’t realize how many hours it would take to legally rip my cd collection into bytes for digital consumption. It’s a sad suck of time now and going forward…I mean, I buy a lot of music and ALL of it will be ripped because I don’t have a stereo. My MP3 player is my chosen musical outlet.

So to kill the time between CD’s, I’ve been reading about record labels who want to go after such-n-such and so-n-so for distributing MP3’s napster-style and illegally sharing with friends…yada, yada, yada. Just stop, will ya? Use that negative energy to rip MP3 versions of the music, put them on the CD’s you sell and bump the price a dollar or two. I’d pay it. It’d be worth *my* time.

Okay, that’s where my brain is at this evening. Go back to what you were doing…
