I set about this morning on my semi-annual clock changing project, double-checking the ones that reset themselves and being slightly annoyed with those that don’t. My GE Spacesaver Eterna series microwave was one of the later, so I went through its little menu to change the time. I had forgotten that it asks me the day, month, year, and that it would not let me change the time without reentering that information. Why does a microwave need the date? It doesn’t do anything with it! It doesn’t save me the trouble of switching the time twice a year!
I got even. My microwave now thinks it’s 1969. Shh, don’t tell.
Hmmm. Maybe the GE Eterna will whip up something special for you, as everyday is your birthday!
