One of the more ridiculous things the current administration has done is to “rename” long-standing geographic features to his liking. Denali was reverted to the hated name of the former president who never set foot on its slopes, and, inexplicably, the Gulf of Mexico became the Gulf of “America.” Another renaming involving a mediocre white dude who never saw its waters by a current mediocre white dude. Sensing a theme? Yeah.
Anyway, a neighbor recently threw out a bunch of maps, so I ripped out the relevant sections and made post cards, as one does, and offered to mail them to whomever wants one as a act of…I don’t know, art rebellion? Record keeping? A guardian of memory?
