I’ve always been a bit fascinated by how people organize their bookmarks. #Geek  Anyway, I’ve noticed that some folks have subscribed to the feed for this site (hello! welcome!) and I couldn’t help but wonder what folder my feed would live in. Would I be left hanging in an unordered list? Would I be alphabetized or listed in order of importance? Would someone put me in “occasional junk”?

Turns out there’s nothing so horrible about how my site is listed, but it’s too soon to determine how the wisdom of crowds will shake out. So far I’ve been put in “Bloggers That I Enjoy”, “Cyber People”, and “Personal” directories. All are tidy, alphabetical order listings. Hmm. I’m sure that someday your feed ranking/search results will rise or fall depending upon this meta data (folder names) that others add.

I’m going to spend some more time studying the organization of feed subscriptions because I’m also sure that the secret to feed management lies hidden somewhere within. If you have thoughts, please share.
