I’ve been having a bit of fun, searching through Blogger profiles and comparing them to mine. There are at least a dozen other people who listen to Apoptygma Berzerk (If they’re spelling it correctly, that is. A-p-o-p-t-y-g-m-a B-e-r-z-e-r-k. Pray you don’t have to say it out loud!), and even a few more who listen to my favorite group, VNV Nation.

Too cool. I love to see what other people are listening to because that’s how I find and try new music. Radio DJs are not spinning Apoptygma Berzerk (there’s probably an intimidation factor with the name and all), so I have to pursue other avenues. Amazon’s listmania has been a big help, and now I have Blogger profiles to supplement my musical vices.

Except…

I have to wonder where people my age are. The average listener of Wolfsheim, according to those brave enough to disclose their age, seems to be 18. I have to wonder if I’m the oldest person who’s lifting her skinny fists like antennas to heaven…so not to put too fine a point on it, but what are people in their 30s listening to these days?

Friends need not respond. I know that it’s all ABBA, all the time.
