Bloglines now tells me how many unread and read messages I have for each feed and for each category that I’ve set. It will also tell me, in the browser title, the same ratio for all my subscriptions. If I don’t have read messages saved, it will spare me the extra number. Lovely — now my post-hording tendencies are made more explicit.
There are also a set of fancy new hotkeys that I haven’t had the chance to try. It’ll be my luck to click the shortcut that “reads all”. Any bets on how long that will take? :)
Seriously, I’m excited that Bloglines* keeps improving their service. The Ask Jeeves crew seems to spur them in good ways.
*Bloglines was bought out and then discontinued around November 15, 2010. Sad because it was the only truly useful social media tool I’ve found.**
