He: “My sisters told me there are three criteria for bras: cut, color, comfort.”
Me: “They left out padding, lace, lift and whether it squishes your boobs together. And color? It’s a choice between white/beige or not. All you need to know is if it can be seen under a white shirt.”
He: “I had no idea it was so difficult. At least you don’t have to deal with corsets any more.”
Me: “I don’t know, I liked the corset. True, I couldn’t breath, but my posture has never been so good and I looked fantastic. I, for one, am glad that hoop skirts are dead and gone. I never understood them.”
He: “There’s lots I never understood. Take heels — they seem so uncomfortable.”
Me: “They are, but they give you a little somethin’-somethin’ when you walk.”
He: “I suppose, but what’s really baffling to me are pantihose. They don’t keep you warm and they don’t seem to add much.”
Me: “I can summarize that for you in two words.”
He: “Yes?”
Me: “Control Top.”
He: “I’m grateful for the male uniform.”
Me: “And you should be. Tighty whiteys cost almost nothing. I spent more on foundation garmets than I did for the dress.”
